Political Seduction in Nepal

15 months have passed since there were historic constitution assembly elections in Nepal. People actively participated in that event. A big , non-voilent election mania had sensational effect in people's mind. Though, it effected only minds not the living styles of average Nepali people. 600 peoples representatives called "sabhasad" are enjoying its fruit till now. The biggest party of those 600 sabhasads is on and seems to be going on and on.
People had been politically sleeping for so long before that elections, 8 years had passed since any of National level elections for general people. Election went peaceful despite few incidents, that was good. But the afterdays of that elections had depressed people because of political turmoil. Thats also fine in Politics. Only leaders have hay-day for long not the people.
Monarchy was abolished , Leaders were cunning enough to make people ready to hatch their dreams.. but dreams got spoilt.
At present day, people in capital city, Kathmandu are having day of their lives , no rule and order, no ban on anything , free to speak as foul as you can.. thats the freedom.
Freedom is there for the political robbers, thugs, thiefs as well.. when one political activist commits murder he takes political asylum in his party... his party fights for his freedom of murder, he his soon freed. Victim is always victim, he his gone, freedom from this earth is everything he got.
Present day war on political secenario is either a person is democrat or a communist ;nobody is allowed to remain free, if someone tags himself a free man, he is labelled a kings man. A tragedy.

People till this day have been actively participating on their party programs but I wonder till when?? What will make them what free, free from darkness and free from party slavery... the question is unanswered for long......

नेपाल : चक्रब्युह र अभिमन्यु

सधैं गुनासो मात्रै गर्ने आम नेपालीको बानी । किन हो कुन्नी गुनासो मात्रै गरिरहने बानी नयाँ लाग्दैन मलाई । करिब २० बर्ष देखी त्यही देख्दै छु म । अहिले म एक Electronics and communication ईन्जिनियर बन्ने संघार म छु । सबैले मलाई एउटै प्रश्न सोध्ने गर्छन् , अब के गर्ने बिचार छ त ? यो प्रश्न गर्न जती सजिलो छ , यस्को उत्तर भने सजिलै भन्न गार्हो छ । GRE पढ्दैछस ? अर्को सामान्य लाग्दो प्रश्न हो। टाउको हल्लाएर छैन भन्नु त सजिलो होला । तर यस्ले मनमा एक किसिम को मनमा द्विबिधा पर्छ । देशमा एस्तो अवस्था छ के गर्छस? अर्को प्रश्न । सम्भावना पनि एहीं छ त । मेरो सामान्य उत्तर । सबैको बाहिर मात्रै जाने भये केही टेक्निकल जनसक्ती पनि यहाँ नबस्ने त ? एसै त देश एस्तो छ । बिकासको कार्यक्रम कस्ले चलाऊने त? टेक्नोलोजीको बिकास त आवस्वक छ । बिजुली छैन , ल्याउने कसरी त? कम्युनिकेसन को पुर्वधार कहिले सम्म कसरी बनाउने? बाटोघाटो बनाउनु छ । धेरै गर्नु छ । कोइ त यहाँ बस्ने हुनु पर्ने छ. सबै कुरा सोचनिय छन्। नेपाल को अहिलेको परिबेस मलाई युवाहरुको लागि एउटा चक्रब्युह जस्तो लाग्छ । बिजुली छैन । तर जलबिध्युत पारीयोजना सबै बिदेसी लाई दिन्छ सरकार । Nepal Telecom चाइनिज हरुको कन्ट्रोल म छ। सिभिल को काम सधैं त्यस्तै । आफु परियो Eletronics and communication बिदेश जान पनि अब कडा गर्ने रे। अनी बनेन त चक्रब्युह ? काम गर्ने मन छ । के गर्ने ? फेरी फ्रुस्टु पनि हुनु भएन । तोड्नै पर्यो चक्रब्युह । अनी मैले पनि रखिदिये नयाँ नाम आफ्नो "अभिमन्यु" । तर महाभारत को अभिमन्यु चाँहीं चक्रब्युहमा फस्यो , सिध्धियो , म चाँहीं नयाँ युगमा छु अनी सबै तोडेर निस्किन चाहन्छु एहीं नेपालमा।

देशभक्ती:यस्तै हुन्छ र?

".... देश भक्ती त मर्दैन चुत्थै देश भए पनि " - मुकुन्द इन्दिरा ( बालकृष्ण सम)। आज मेरो दिमागमा यस्तै यस्तै आयिरहेछ । आज मेरो मनमा दिनभर यस्तै यस्तै सोच हरु आयीरहेछन । कालिमाटी बन्द थियो , हिँडेर गएँ , अनी असन बाट भोटाहिटी गयिरहेको थिएं अधिकांश फूट्पाथ पसलेहरु भारतीय देखिन्थे , नगरपालिकाले नऊठाएका फोहोरको डूंगुर , रत्नपर्कको कथित आन्दोलन , अचेत देखिने जनता । लोडसेडिङ त झुटो हो । बिरोध भएकै छ । औंला त अब ? टेम्पो वालाले आन्दोलन गरिराछन । अब आउछ होला बिजुली । मलाई किन हो फेरी मलाई चिन्ने मान्छे सबै लाई राम्रो देखिने नेपाल देखाऊन मनलाग्छ । बस्नु पर्ने त ठाउँ यस्तै हो । यहाँको प्रक्रीती , खोलानाला , हिमाल , पहाड कस्ता राम्रा छन । तँ जा , गयी हाल जस्तो माहौल किन छ यहाँ ? CAN-Infotech को दुर्दशा । अनी केही सोचमग्न हुन पुगें । दया , माया जाग्यो ति सबै माथि । कस्तो भविस्य सोचेका होलन् आफ्नो ? मैले मात्र जताततै त्यस्तो अशुभ देखेको हो कि , यहाँ यस्तै हुन्छ ? दु:ख लाई आँखा चिम्ल्यो भने त्यो अनुभव पनि नहुने हो । अस्मन्जस । अंध्यारो । पलायनको बाटो अँगालेर आफु भलो त जगत भलो सोचुँ कि ? खोइ के खोइ के । दुइचार आफुले सिकेको पढाई पनि सदुपयोग गर्न त मन् छ पनि। फेरी मन एकतमास भो , भयीरहेछ । (.... क्रमश ..)

Technological Fete and Nepalese Fate

( I bought Headsets at Rs.50 only) from ICT-InfoTrade
Its 2009..
I went to ICT-InfoTrade at Bhrikuti Mandap, the gathering was encouraging, though on the last day, being held from Jan 2-6, 2009. The overcrowded stalls were worth watching. There were Mobiles, Laptops, Desktops, Inverters, Computer accessories, ipods, Scanners, FAX machines, printers and more many other techological gadgets. One more thing worthwatching was the X-ray machine made by the students of grade 12, the only innovation of Nepalese being displayed there.
Nepalese gather, we see happily, the gadgets, use them, throw them.. we do this with fun. Few of us have been interested in developing them on our own. We see so many challenges in creating our own sometimes because of lack of interest, lack of tools, guidelines and very often lack of developing environment.
Still, the money buys goods and we can use them. We are contented on having the lastest technologies at our hands. Developing might be difficult ask for today in our country but we should be encouraging the guys involved and give our hands as far as possible.
Laptops are still expensive, LCD monitors are being cheaper , my search for cheaper laptop continues . I desperately wait for the CAN infotech, the bigger sales market.. to see more of the technologies , atleast seeing is believing , though doing is knowing .. for now.
Lets hope in some years from now , these kinds of fete will have more and more products and may shine the fate of Nepalese.

Yomari hunting: Is Yomari full inside? Or ,were we made fools?

We watched Kathputali:.. , a documentary at KIMFF ( Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival) at Rastriya Sabha Griha. We were six : Ankur ,Bibek, Jwalanta , Nirmal, Sankar and I.
As soon as we got out watching the forgettable but never forgetting documentary, the thing, Yomari got over the minds, Ankur called for the hunt, Bibek got excited and we nodded.
We then roamed Newroad , Basantapur , Newroad again and finally Khichapokhari.. we got what we wanted.. the yomari.. and
how was that???.. the taste.. content inside.. our expectations
hmm..
Is yomari full with contents inside, or we were made fools .
What contents are filled in? What does Yomari taste like?

US elections: A lesson to learn for Nepali Leaders

Philosophers say "Politics a game of dirty minds."
But there was so much to see after John McCain said in Arizona after he lost.
"I wish godspeed to the man who was my former opponent and will be my president," McCain said.
Further,he said "These are difficult times for our country. And I pledge to him tonight to do all in my power to help him lead us through the many challenges we face."
"His success alone commands my respect for his ability and perseverance," McCain said, adding that he "deeply admired" Obama for inspiring the hopes of people "who had once wrongly believed that they had little at stake or little influence" in electing a president.


A Nepali blog www.mysansar.com writes the sayings of Barack Obama in his speech..

I was thoughtful upon hearing these words.

Unlike Nepali leaders who play blame game over others personal life. I remember the present Primeminister of Nepal comrade Prachanda ( this name is more used than 'Pushpa Kamal Dahal')
I also remember tens of thousands of posters printed of CPN(UML) leader Madhav Kumar Nepal's saluting the then King Gyanendra and the application he had written vying the post of PM of Nepal by the Maoists. Posters pasted all around the city of Kathmandu and Rautahat for making him fail in election.
I do remember Prachanda shouting " Who is that Katwal ( indicating to army chief Rukmangat Katwal) " at Khula Manch(Open Theatre) addressing his supporters to demoralise the Nepal Army. This is the state of Nepali Politics and these are our leaders.
There are many examples as such.
Will Nepali leaders learn from this event. Do they have courage to accept their failures in election and congratulate the winners. I doubt.
But , they need to learn.
Its true in US too there were many bitter and harsh thrown at each other during election campaign. McCain blamed Obama as a superstar not a leader, a child.... republicans called Obama a communist . Obama in return compared McCain with failed bush .. but
but, they do appreciate the results.
when will our leaders do so?

Barack Obama: New Sensation

Healing the division , promising the change not only in U.S. but also all over the world, Barack Obama has been elected the President of United States.
He is the 44th president of the worlds super power, United States.
I was closely following the US election for over a year now. There were many turn abouts during the period. Some called him he a rather a superstar than a political leader. Some said he is just an in-experienced black guy trying to win over racism issue. And lots more.
But , some called him the 21st century Martin Luther King . Whatever , his win of the presidential post is well accepted over the world. I just heard Kenya has declared Public Holiday.
Congratulations Obama!!
People are sending different opinions all around.
